Hey Alki families! Thanks for making 2017 a success! We’re starting the new year off with hot and fresh new enrichment classes – brought to you by members of our own community. Here’s a sneak peek at some of our new programs, located below:
Origami: Ori meaning “folding” and kami meaning “paper” – The art of paper folding has burst out of Japan and showered the world with cranes, canaries, and culture.
Interactive Spanish: Put on your Spanish lenses and come take an adventure through Alki’s unique ecosystem. Whether it’s having fun on the beach or trekking through the park, you’ll always have your native tour guide to navigate around unknown lands and identify woodland creatures.
Costume Making: Masks, tunics, skirts, and wands – you name it! Learn how to craft your own costumes and make your dreams come true! Become an animal, fairy, witch, wizard, or the next Iron Man! In the school play and want to make your costume shine? Then this is the class for you!
Book Making and Reading Club: Move over iPhones, there’s a new sheriff in town. Join us as we rejuvenate the love for reading in our literature classes! Read along and win big for your school as you compete against other schools in the Global Reading Challenge. We’ll read, laugh, explore, and dive into the world of reading.
Enrichment Exploration: Are you brave and adventurous? Do you have the courage to try new things? We at Alki Enrichment want to promote lifelong skills and activities to all children and encourage children to try new things. This class will feature team games, STEM curriculum, arts and crafts, dancing, musical beats, and many more topics and may include guest instructors with special talents!
