Empowering girls, from start to finish.
Girls on the Run is an after-school program that uses the power of running to give girls the tools to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices, recognize their gifts and activate their power! 3rd – 5th grade girls come together twice a week and learn new skills, celebrate girl empowerment, and train to run a celebratory 5K at the end of their 10 week season.
WHEN: Mar. 5 – May 21 (2:30 – 4:00 PM) Tuesday & Thursdays after school.
COST: Girls on the Run’s program fees are based on a sliding scale of family income. You can choose which registration fee amount best suits your family when you apply online. There is a minimum fee of $25 for the 10-week season. If you are unable to pay the minimum, please call the GOTR office at 206-528-2118 to request a full-scholarship waiver code. There are no questions asked or proof of income needed.
WHO: GOTR team size is 8-15 girls (3rd – 5th grade). Spots are limited and only guaranteed after the lottery period. Alki needs atleast 8 girls to participate in the program.
