Black Lives Matter at School

Black Lives Matter at School Week is Feb 3-7th (see our district website for more details about the adopted resolution). At Alki Elementary, alongside Seattle Public Schools, we believe that we must disrupt the legacies of racism and create a more just and loving society. You will see staff wearing BLM shirts on Friday, Feb 7th.

In classrooms, students will be discussing issues of inclusion through lessons and read alouds throughout the school year- not just during a particular week and month (for specifics about what is being taught- contact your child’s teacher).
