Mrs. Iba’s P-1 Mobile Library

CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Mobile Library UPDATE:

Due to the rise of Covid cases and Governor Inslee’s mandate sadly, the Mobile Library will be closed starting this week. We will reopen once we feel it is safe to do so.

Students, PLEASE check out books by putting books on hold through Destiny. There is a Seesaw activity in your class’s library folder that shows you how to put books on hold. Once Mrs. Iba has gathered the books and checked them out, she will email your family with pick up details.

Our first pick up will take place Monday, Nov 23rd and Tuesday, Nov 24th, 10:00-2:00 at the front door of the school. Ring the buzzer and please stay by the buzzer. We will bring the books to the door, set them outside and close the door. Once the door is closed please feel free to pick up the books. Please bring any books you are returning at that time. There will be a bin outside for you to place returned books in. All library books are quarantined for 14 days before they are checked in and available for others to check out. These guidelines have been in place since the beginning of the school year. This plan could change depending on decisions made by SPS.

Take care, stay safe and happy reading!

~Mrs. Iba

A note from Mrs. Iba:
“Alki Seagulls are so excited to get physical books in their hands. Many students are asking for books that I don’t have in our collection. With no budget this year I am not able to buy any new books. Our Alki Community has been so generous in the past and especially this year with all that is going on. I’m trying to think of ways to get new books for the library and wanted to share my Amazon Wish List in case any families might be interested in purchasing books and donating them to our library. Thank you for all your support. It takes a village and I’m so fortunate to a part of this amazing Alki Village.”
